Tenerife is often referred to as the 'Island of Eternal Spring' due to it's steady weather system. Temperatures on the island rarely stray from the averages which dip to 20ºC in the winter months and peak at 28ºC during the summer months. Temperatures would be higher is if where not the tradewinds and the cool sea currents surrounding the island. The northern region has a cooler tropical climate whereas the south of the island is very different being dryer and hotter.
